La Palma is unspoilt, the whole island is a nature reserve. It is the greenest of the canary islands, a real walker's and nature lover's paradise.
The island offers contrasts of volcanic lunar landscapes, subtropical rain forests, large conifer woodlands, rugged coastal cliff scenery and cultivated areas with an abundance of picturesque towns and villages, many with colonial connections.
Your villa is set in the valley of Las Brenas near the town of San Pedro with shops and supermarkets. It is accessed down a quiet country lane. It provides a good central location for day trips to discover all parts of the island
The capital Santa Cruz and the beach resort of Los Cancajos, with restaurants, cafes, bars and shops, are a short drive away.
A pleasant 45 minute drive through mountain scenery and tunnels will take you to explore the other side of the island, There you will find Los Llanos the 'second capital' of the island, Tazacorte, famous for its fish cuisine and Puerto Naos, a pretty beach resort.
